Recap: As mentioned in part I of the post, finding the purpose of the team is critical so that you can make sure that the team is formed and designed in an optimal way. As a part of that process, we mapped the Supply Chain challenges of our typical company using a Six Sigma process mapping approach.
Determining the Analytical approaches
Now based on the challenges/problems defines, we determine the analytical approaches needed across our Supply Chain. The Analytical approach requirement is shown below.
Skillsets requirement generation
Now that we know what are the different types of analytical approaches the team will be working on, we need to determine what type of Analytics skill set corresponds with these Analytical approaches. Few examples of the process of skill set determination are shown below:
Now that we have a fair idea of how skillset requirements need to be defines, we need to analyze how to determine the team structure and headcount of your internal Supply Chain center of analytics.
